Location and Parking

Click here for directions to Lancaster Country Day School. On the first day, please park in the parking lot beyond the main entrance on Hamilton Road, and walk with your child to the main entrance. For Kids and Cultures Camp, on subsequent days, you may drop off your child at the circular drive at the main entrance. Pick up at the end of the Camp session will be at the main entrance.

Arrival and Check-in

Camp begins promptly at the starting time. Please plan to arrive between five and 10 minutes before the starting time each day so that your child will not miss anything. There will not be staff available to watch your child before the beginning of Camp.

On Monday, check-in for Kids and Cultures Camp will begin at 8:45 a.m. (for Session 1) and 12:45 p.m. (for Session 2) at the main entrance. We will give parents a card with a reminder of the pick up time and our emergency phone number. Each day, your child will receive a name tag for the day.

For Little Kids and Cultures Camp, check-in begins at 9 a.m.

Pick Up

For Kids and Cultures Camp, please arrive no later than five minutes after the end of the Camp session to pick up your child. See the staff member at the main entrance so that he/she can check off your child's name. If your child is not outside the main entrance at the end of the session, you may go directly to the meeting room to pick up your child. There will not be staff available to watch your child after 10 minutes after the end of Camp; please notify us if there an emergency and you cannot arrive on time. Also, if someone other than yourself is picking up your child, send a permission note with the details beforehand.

Contact Information

If for any reason you need to contact us immediately before, during, or immediately after Camp hours, please call the Camp cell phone at 717-723-8687. Do not call Lancaster Country Day School.

Please check your e-mail on the Saturday before Camp and on every evening after Camp. We will send updates, links to photos, and any other information that you might need to know.

What To Wear

Children should have sunscreen applied and wear comfortable clothing that can get dirty. We will distribute Camp T-shirts at the end of Monday's Camp session. Campers are not required to wear Camp T-shirts during Camp.

What To Bring

Please leave all toys, electronic devices, and valuables at home. If your child has an artifact from one of the featured countries/cultures that he or she would like to bring to show, please contact a Camp director beforehand. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Note: new for this year, you do not need to send a water bottle. This facility has a water fountain near the meeting room; we will take frequent drinking breaks throughout the Camp session.
