The Vision

How can we help children learn about the richness of world cultures across the street and around the world? How can we foster positive "prejudices" before negative ones form? How can we help children become aware of the lives of children in other parts of the world?

Kids and Cultures has launched several projects to add to what others are already doing to bring global awareness to children.

In their lastest endeavor, Really Big Field Trip, you have the opportunity to travel (virtually) with an American family to various countries around the world. The first destination was Turkey, with a trip in April 2007!

You can watch the Really Big Field Trip documentary to experence the trip from a child's perspective, read the daily updates while the family traveled, as well as use curriculum materials to explore the cultures along with the family.

We believe that awareness leads to understanding which fosters responsible action as world citizens, for children of all ages.
