REALLY BIG FIELD TRIP DOCUMENTARY: World Premiere

Get ready for a Really Big Field Trip, no crowded school bus required! Kids and Cultures is premiering our first kid-friendly travel documentary on Saturday, April 19, at 12 noon at Penn Cinema, Lititz.

The pilot film project features Katia (11) and Thaniel Wenger (8), who share their experiences of a trip we took to Turkey last year. The half-hour documentary was filmed and produced by Max Zug of MaxFilms, Ephrata.

The event is also an early celebration of April 23's International Children's Day, a holiday started by Turkey in the 1920s and now recognized by the United Nations and many countries around the globe.

A limited number of tickets for the half-hour feature is available and can be purchased for $5 at the box office at Penn Cinema or at www.penncinema.com (coming soon).

The event will include comments by Katia and Thaniel, giveaways (including DVDs, world maps, and Turkish Delight), Turkish music, and an opportunity to preorder the DVD with a $5 discount. The DVD will contain bonus features and related educational materials for teachers and parents.
