CULTURES OF THE WORLD CLUB FOR FAMILIES: Returning this fall!
Take your family on a trip around the world! Join us each month for stories, games, crafts, music, and snacks from a different country or culture. The Cultures of the World Club for Families meets from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month from September through May at Millersville International House, Millersville, Pa. Tentative destinations include Afghanistan, Puerto Rico, Finland, India, Mali, Turkey, China, Brazil, and Kenya. Pre-registration is required and begins on August 14. Visit www.KidsAndCultures.com (click on Cultures of the World Club for Families) for more details.

ANIMALWHYS: Continuing our summer family show
This month, we continue our series of library performances of AnimalWhys, our new storytelling show featuring all four members of the Wenger family. For our summer library and festival performance schedule, and for photos of each performance, visit www.KidsAndCultures.com (click on AnimalWhys on our homepage).

We thank the following AnimalWhys sponsors: Dutch Wonderland's International Days, September 23-24, 2006; HomePlace Structures/Pinnacle Play Systems; euroToyShop; Usborne Books; and Matthew D. Freedman, DMD, and Edward S. Freedman, DDS. Visit our website for links to their websites.

FEATURED EVENT: Kids and Cultures family fun and fundraising event
Mark your calendar for a family-friendly Kids and Cultures fundraising event on the evening of Friday, September 8 (rain date is September 15), at Conestoga House and Gardens in Lancaster, Pa. (www.conestogahouse.org). Later this month, we will send out invitations with the details. Please contact us if you would like to volunteer for this event.

Thank you for your interest and support, and as always, send us your ideas!

Until next month,
