CELEBRATE! WORLD HOLIDAYS FOR KIDS
In December, we kicked off our new interactive multicultural presentation packed with festive folktales, facts, and fun! One host commented, "Not only were the children glued but also the big kids (adults)! Young and old alike were drawn into the stories and participated." In addition to schools, we performed for a company Christmas banquet and at the Holiday Festival of Lights at Camden Children's Garden. Keep this show in mind as you plan events for next November to January.
KIDS COOKIE BREAK
Tune in to WJTL-FM 90.3 (or online via www.wjtl.com) on Saturday morning, January 14, as Kids and Cultures is featured again on the Kids Cookie Break radio show. We'll have fun international music and giveaways, and we'll talk about the premiere of our brand new show.
PREMIERE PERFORMANCE: Why Why Why in the World?
Join us on Friday, January 20, 2006, at 6:30 p.m. for the premiere of Why Why Why in the World?, the newest interactive cross-cultural storytelling show from Kids and Cultures. Why Why Why in the World features pourquoi tales from around the world. Pourquoi tales are stories written to explain why things are the way they are, from the French word pourquoi (por-kwa’) which means why. The kickoff will be held at Ross Elementary School, Lancaster, Pa., and will include giveaways as well as a preview of the summer show AnimalWhys, prepared especially for the summer reading program theme of "Paws, Claws, Scales, and Tales" for Pennsylvania's libraries. Visit www.KidsAndCultures.com to reserve your free tickets for this fun family event.
THANK YOU!
We are grateful to the Raub Foundation for a recent grant, and to the individuals who gave year-end contributions to Kids and Cultures. We can't do this without you!
Thank you for your interest and support, and as always, send us your ideas!
Until next month,
Timm, Kristina, Katia, and Thaniel Wenger
