Hello friends of Kids and Cultures,
Happy March!
Kristina made it back from her two-week trip to Guatemala, and you can see a few photos by visiting our website, www.KidsAndCultures.com, and clicking on Guatemala Photos (on the right side of the home page). She has now prepared an hour-long classroom presentation featuring stories, crafts, and activities about Guatemala. Contact us at info@KidsAndCultures.com if you are interested in scheduling.
Our feature this month is also from Guatemala. We've discovered a fun and educational website, www.MayanKids.com, which includes information about foods, calendars, beauty, and Pok-A-Tok, a game in which you don't want to be the loser!
As a family, we experienced the Chinese Golden Acrobats when they visited Millersville in February. If you ever have the opportunity, you must see these incredibly athletic and daring entertainers! We also watched a Greco dance show when it came to Lancaster; we sat in the front row, and met one of the dancers after the show. Our kids loved both shows and know what they want to do when we visit China and Spain someday!
