March 2005

Hello friends of Kids and Cultures,

Happy March!

In February we added three new members to our Board of Directors: Mike Buleza, Rich Sauder, and Sean Tweed. You can read about them by clicking on Our Board of Directors to the left. Each brings experience in a different area that is necessary for our growth. We are glad for their willingness to serve, and we would like to add several more members this year. If you know of someone who brings experience and interest in kids and cultures, please refer them to us.

We've also begun to schedule our summer storytelling show Who Outsmarted the Czar? for libraries. So far we have 28 libraries scheduled, three more waiting to be confirmed, and only nine more openings. Check the list by clickin on Home, then Who Outsmarted the Czar? and Where To See Us. If your local library is not on the list, contact the children's librarian to schedule us while there are still openings.

THIS MONTH'S FEATURE
Visit http://www.timeforkids.com/TFK/hh/goplaces to learn about 24 different countries. With interesting features like Sightseeing Guides, A Day in the Life, A Kid's-Eye View, History Timelines, and Postcards, children can get an overview of what it is like to be a child in one of these places. Our favorite feature is Native Lingo, in which you can listen to and practice common phrases in other languages.

Thanks for your interest and support, and as always, send us your ideas!

Until next month,

Timm, Kristina, Katia, and Thaniel Wenger
