REALLY BIG FIELD TRIP: We’re going to Turkey!
Our family has an invitation to travel to Turkey next month to gather first-hand information and experiences to share with YOU! Max Zug, an award-winning filmmaker from MaxFilms, is traveling with us to shoot and produce a documentary of our adventures, including international children’s day festivities. We will also create related educational materials for families and schools. This trip is being coordinated by Red Rose Intercultural & Educational Foundation in partnership with Turkish businessmen. We want you to join us, even if it’s virtually, on a Really Big Field Trip! Visit www.ReallyBigFieldTrip.com for details.
We’re purchasing our flight tickets this week. If you’ve been considering giving a tax-deductible contribution towards our trip, now is a good time to do it! (We thank those who have already sent donations.)
CULTURES OF THE WORLD CLUB FOR FAMILIES: Next stop-Finland
Join us each month for stories, games, crafts, music, and snacks from a different country or culture. The next session is on Tuesday, March 13, from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. at Millersville International House, Millersville, Pa. Pre-registration is required. Visit www.KidsAndCultures.com (click on Cultures of the World Club for Families) for more details.
CULTURES OF THE WORLD DAY CAMP: Early registration ends March 15
Join us for a week of stories, music, crafts, games, snacks, and guests from other countries! This summer's destinations are Sweden, Peru, Egypt, Turkey, and India. Camp is held the last two weeks of June from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at Millersville International House, Millersville, Pa. Camp is designed for students who have completed grades 1 to 5. ANNOUNCING OUR NEW SUMMER SHOW: CLUESapalooza!
Liz and Matt’s parents have suddenly disappeared, leaving only one clue. Can the kids find their mom and dad before the start of the family’s vacation? Join them in their search around the globe for their missing parents and as they find unexpected treasures along the way. Please ask your public library children’s librarian to book our show for the summer reading program. Visit our www.KidsAndCultures.com for more information.
Thank you for your interest and support, and as always, send us your ideas!
Until next month,
Timm, Kristina, Katia, and Thaniel Wenger
