May 2004
Happy May!
Kids and Cultures helped the Lancaster Libraries celebrate National Library Week, April 17 to 29, with performances in 13 of the county's libraries. If you missed us, you can still catch us at three of Lancaster's libraries--Pequea Valley, Mount Joy, and Quarryville--which rescheduled for July. Visit the www.TreasuresOfTheWorld.org website (and click on the "Where to See Us" link) for more information about upcoming events where we'll be.
This month's feature actually happens next month, but registration starts right now! We're talking about the Cultures of the World DAY CAMP. During the week of June 14 to 18 at Millersville (Pa.) International House, children will learn about other cultures through games, stories, crafts, music, and snacks, with people from other countries. Visit http://treasuresoftheworld.org/index.php?fuseAction=page&pageID=2936 for more information and to register. Registration deadline is June 1st, with an early registration deadline of May 15 (save $25 per child). Please help us spread the word to families with elementary age children; please think about who you could tell about this camp. The Cultures of the World DAY CAMP is sponsored by Kids and Cultures and Millersville International House.
Thanks for your interest and support, and as always, send us your ideas!
Until next month,
Timm, Kristina, Katia, and Thaniel Wenger
