mid-January 2006
Dear friends of Kids and Cultures,
We've had some wonderful publicity this week. We co-hosted The Kids Cookie Break radio show on WJTL-FM90.3 on Saturday, yesterday we were featured in the Entertainment section of Lancaster's The Sunday News, and we had a photo shoot today for an article in this Thursday afternoon's Lancaster New Era.
If you are planning to attend the premiere of Why Why Why in the World? (see details below), and have not reserved your tickets, please do so!
Join us on Friday, January 20, 2006, at 6:30 p.m. for the premiere of Why Why Why in the World?, the newest interactive cross-cultural storytelling show from Kids and Cultures.
Why Why Why in the World? features pourquoi tales from around the world. Pourquoi tales are stories written to explain why things are the way they are, from the French word pourquoi (por-kwa’) which means why. You'll discover why the sun comes up when Rooster crows (from China), why Giraffe has a long neck and why Rhino is so grumpy (from East Africa), why Beetle has a gorgeous coat (from Brazil), and much more!
The kickoff will be held at Ross Elementary School, Lancaster, Pa., and will include giveaways (gift certificates to ethnic restaurants, books about cultures, and booking discounts), as well as a preview of the summer show AnimalWhys, featuring all four of us.
We will also be serving refreshments including fairly-traded international coffee donated by Lonely Monk Coffees (www.lonelymonkcoffees.com) and tropical fruit drinks donated by Giant Foods.
Visit www.KidsAndCultures.com to reserve your free tickets for this fun family event.
We hope to see you there!
